Just in time to see the gorgeous ambience that IS downtown Blowing Rock – the Main Street Downtown Blowing Rock webcam is back up and running thanks to Josh Johnson of www.GoBlowingRock.com and some helpful Blowing Rock merchants.
Johnson is a High Country realtor who has partnered with ResortCams.com on other camera locations and through his partnership we were able to get not only the camera itself back in action, but the necessary equipment to power the LIVE STREAM.
Dean Bullis of Carriage Trade Antiques in Blowing Rock and Finley House Couture stepped forward to allow us access to his store location such that we could run the power over ethernet. He was even gracious enough to provide his own electrician to run the cabling, etc.
Finally, Robert Lovern – who recently purchased the building at the corner of Main and Sunset in downtown Blowing Rock gave us permission to keep the camera mounted atop his property.
In this case I guess it DOES "take a Village" as several of the local Village of Blowing Rock people got involved to help us bring this popular webcam back.
