Old Man Winter Makes a Return

If you haven’t heard, a significant snow storm is about to affect most of the ski areas in the Southeast and mid-Atlantic region over the next 24-36 hours. Rain this morning will change over to snow sometime in the afternoon and by Saturday morning a majority of North Carolina and Virginia is expected to be under a blanket of white. Here’s the latest snowfall forecast map from The Weather Channel.

Not only is snow in the forecast, but colder temperatures are forecasted to stick around through the MLK weekend. This means snowmaking will be ongoing at the ski areas and conditions are going to drastically improve. Don’t fret too much now if you’re looking at the slopes!
