The Area – Asheville
Black Mountain North Carolina is an area located near Asheville that is named for the Black Mountain Range found in this region of the Southern Appalachians. Black Mountain is famously an art lover’s paradise and a place that many artists have come to call home. Numerous retreats are located here and in downtown Black Mountain and the surrounding community you will find numerous art shops, art dealers, and special craftsmen that specialize in working with a variety of mediums.
Black Mountain is known for its small town appeal. This spot in the Blue Ridge has great places to shop, dine, and explore and is home to a great Black Mountain. Its proximity to Asheville makes it a hotspot for getaways and retreats and local area attractions such as the Blue Ridge Parkway, Biltmore Estate, Lake Lure, and Chimney Rock; you will never run out of fun places to explore and neat things to do.
