The Area – Little River, Calabash & Brunswick
Little River South Carolina is considered the oldest and rarest town along the Grand Strand. The population of Little River has grown in past years due to the gorgeous area and its close proximity to many of the other towns included on the Grand Strand Map. It’s only minutes from Calabash North Carolina, known for its “Calabash Style” food, Sunset Beach, North Myrtle Beach South Carolina, as well as many others. Little River is known for its fresh seafood, Charters, Casino Boats, and the annual Blue Crab Festival in May.
Even though Little River is just a few miles from the Grand Strand and the area’s premier Golf Courses, the Courses are still less crowded. You’ll find many a Course laid right on the ocean or even inside a cove. After a fresh day on the green, check out the many Restaurants lined up downtown right next to numerous Hotels to choose from if you are looking to stay the night.
If you are staying in Little River, you will never run out of things to do, but if you want a change in scenery, head down to North Myrtle Beach and check out all the Attractions there, such as the House of Blues North Carolina. Little River has a lot to offer, so give it a chance while you’re there. Maybe change it up a bit and try out a Little River Campground or even go to the Lighthouse.
