Big Ridge Tree Farm

Banner Elk, NC - Currently: 40°F, Clear sky

The Big Ridge Tree Farm cam sits atop a hill that looks down on the High Country Christmas tree farm, located in Boone, NC. While this cam will offer year round views, it will be especially fun to view during the holiday season as you’ll be able to watch many families pick and cut their own Christmas trees. At times, there’s also a shot with a profile view of Grandfather Mountain in the distance.

Big Ridge Tree Farm is at 3,800 feet elevation, with long range mountain views in several directions and just 5-10 minutes to three major ski slopes. Along with quality Fraser Fir, they offer limited crafts, professionally designed table top arrangements, hot and cold drinks with goodies, machine baling, car top protection, restroom, and an unforgettable free hayride to an historic (100 year old) log cabin about 3/4 mile though the woods and valley from our farm. School and church group field days are welcome through the season.

They are open November 22 – December 22 and their hours are 10am – 5pm Friday – Monday, and by appointment or call ahead Tuesday – Thursday. You are welcome to come early and pre-tag your tree. Start your Christmas tradition. Invite your family, friends and neighbors to come along. Bring a pickup truck and haul ’em all! It’s an “on the farm” family affair for them, and they’ll make it a visit you will long remember. Visit their website at www.bigridgetreefarm.com
