We’ve Added A New Camera at Massanutten Resort!

Massanutten Resort has partnered with us and in the past few days we have added a second live streaming camera.  The Virginia ski area now has two of these HD cameras on display and both will offer skiers and snowboarders a great view of the snow conditions during the winter months.

The new camera is probably my favorite one that we have at any of the ski resorts currently.  The maintenance workers at Massanutten did a great job at mounting the camera some 50 or so feet in the air.  From here, it offers a great view of several trails and both the CMB and Easy Street Terrain Parks.  That will be pretty cool to watch skiers and snowboarders hitting features during the winter!  Additionally, the camera is positioned in a location that allows it to zoom in on the upper parts of ParaDice and Diamond Jim, two expert runs at the top of the mountain.

The image to the right shows the location of the camera at the base of the mountain.  This spot will give us several fantastic views this winter! >>>

Finally, this new camera also has a great view of the Peaked Mountain Express Tube Park and you’ll be able to watch tubers joyfully sliding down the snow on that part of the mountain.  This will be especially fun to watch during the holiday periods and on weekends when the tubing park can get pretty crowded!

<<< Here is the view you will get of the tubing hill with this camera.  This is just one of many!

We are really excited for this camera and we expect it to be a favorite amongst our visitors this winter.  I know I will be checking it out several times a day!

Massanutten will also be installing a new weather station at the top of the mountain in the next couple of weeks so be on the lookout for that on www.massanuttenweather.com.  Between Ski Southeast, ResortCams.com, and High Country Weather, we’ll have all the information you’ll need to know about Massanutten this winter!

On another note, be on the lookout in the coming weeks for three new cameras to go live at Snowshoe Mountain.  The West Virginia resort is partnering with us and will be adding cameras at several different locations on the mountain.  This has been a long time coming and we couldn’t be more ecstatic!
