One of the first roads cams ever to appear on what used to be HighCountryWebCams.com was the Highway 105 South webcam that is based in between Boone and Banner Elk, North Carolina in the community of Foscoe. The camera has long been a favorite because it shows the road conditions and traffic especially during inclement weather.
The camera had slowly deteriorated over the years to display a rather poor image. Although this is not a LIVE STREAM like many of our newer cameras, we were able to replace it with an old standby camera that we had and now it is back displaying higher color, higher resolution images.
So bookmark it as a "go to" camera again if you’re looking at road conditions headed up to Sugar and Beech Mountain from Boone.
