Snowshoe Mountain Resort in West Virginia may have been the LAST ski resort to embrace the idea of placing LIVE WEBCAMS on their resort but boy how they have embraced the idea now.
Our camera IT guys are on their way to Snowshoe Mountain right now to install and implement THREE LIVE WEBCAMS which should be LIVE and viewable sometime on Wednesday or Thursday, November 28th or 29th!
The three cams will be displayed around the mountain with ONE going in down at the Boathouse on Shavers Lake positioned such that we can show off the bottom of Ballhooter Lift and the terrain at the base of the mountain. During the winter this camera should offer some great views of the frozen lake and some great people watching! During the summer and fall we should see some awesome views of some of the lake activities and some great Autumn color.
A second camera will be installed up at Shaver’s Center such that we should get some phenomenal, long-range views as well as good imagery up at Skidder and possibly of the Village area.
The third camera will be installed at the Silver Creek side of the mountain.
All three cams will be full Pan, Tilt and Zoom capable and offer LIVE STREAMING views of the mountains. As with all mountain cams, there will be times that fog or ice will not allow for perfect viewing, however we’re looking forward to showing off how cool Snowshoe Resort is to those of you who have never been.
