This will be the 48th year that Blowing Rock Art in the Park has delighted both residents and visitors with its stunning collection of local artists and craftsmen. First established in 1962, the purpose of this event is for area artisans to come together to showcase their talent. At each of the six Blowing Rock Art in the Park events slated to take place from May through October of this year, you’ll find an array of original artwork including jewelry, pottery, fiber arts, photography, paintings, glass creations, and more. Thousands of visitors come from all over the country to experience this great showcase of local talent, and craftspeople come from miles around to display their works at these popular events, each of which features the works of 90 artists.
The Blowing Rock Chamber of Commerce is responsible for orchestrating Blowing Rock Art in the Park and many of the other exciting Blowing Rock Attractions and Blowing Rock Events that take place in this charming town throughout the year. Admission to Blowing Rock Art in the Park is free of charge and shuttle services are also offered at no cost, as parking in the Town of Blowing Rock NC can be scarce.
