Hang Out at Horn in the West this Saturday for Stages of History

For one night only at Horn in the West Boone, you can enjoy live performances from nine different theatre companies all with one ticket. What’s happening? Saturday May 15, 2010, nine different theatre companies will come together to present the NC Stages of History. Each vignette is based on a different part of the state’s great history. Theatre buffs, history lovers and those that are looking for something fun and interesting to participate in will surely enjoy this fantastic night of fun and theatre, and if you go to the Stages of History show you can go back to any showing of the Horn in the West Drama during the 2010 show season and get an admission ticket for only $1! Tickets for the Stages of History event on Saturday are $15 for adults, $8 for seniors and students of any kind. That’s right, go to the Stages of History Horn in the West Boone show and you can go back to any Horn in the West 2010 show for only a $1. That’s a great deal, especially if you are like many and like to go to the shows at Horn in the West anytime visitors and family come to town.  The ticket stub will also get you into all the other outdoor dramas featured in North Carolina as well, for only a $1; when you combine all the discounts, you can get $120 in free or discounted tickets and concessions.

So what’s the event really all about? The North Carolina based initiative that promotes outdoor theatres across the nation, Institute of Outdoor Drama (IOD), thought it would be a great way to unite some of the local community theatres of the state and pay homage to our great history. Because the Horn in the West Drama was one of two theatres in the state whose profits went up last year, the IOD group thought Boone and the Horn in the West theatre would be a fantastic venue and host. Let’s show everyone traveling to this fun event exactly why Horn in the West continues each season to grow and prosper. This 2010 season will mark the 59th season that Horn in the West will be shown.
