Folly Beach – James Island South Carolina

Folly Beach is located just 15 miles south of Charleston and is often called the Edge of America by those that see where it is located on a map. It is one of the Beaches near Charleston that is widely known for its surfing and shelling opportunities. Isle of Palms Beach

Seabrook Island Beach

Seabrook Island is one of the private resort islands located on the coast of South Carolina near Charleston. At Seabrook Island you will find the lovely and secluded Seabrook Island Beach, one of a few Beaches in Charleston that is not open to the public. Only club members and guests can enjoy this exclusive area.

Kiawah Island Beach

Like Seabrook Island, Kiawah Island is home to Kiawah Island Resort. Better known for Kiawah Island Golf than the beach, Kiawah Island Golf Resort does have a nice beach area. However, it is not open to the public and only club members and guests of Kiawah Island Resort Golf & Spa can enjoy this area and its magnificent views.

Edisto Beach

Edisto Beach is located on the secluded, undeveloped Edisto Island. It is a wonderful natural area that has been fabulously preserved as the island has remained virtually undeveloped even while other islands around it were overcome with resorts and luxury developments. At Edisto Beach you are likely to see dolphins frolicking in the waters off the beach, crabs crawling ashore at night to burrow, and even sea turtles. Georgetown County

There are tons of Beaches near Charleston in nearby Georgetown County which is a beautiful peninsula area that is separated by the Waccamaw River and the Atlantic.
